k-pick helps visitors to Korea find out what is on the shelf before they walk into a store. You can browse all of it, and read Talk, without an account. This page explains what we collect if you do sign in, and how to get rid of it.

Using k-pick without signing in

We do not collect anything that identifies you. My List is kept in your browser’s local storage on your own device and is never sent to us. You can read Talk without signing in; we do not record who read what. There are no analytics tools, no advertising scripts and no third-party trackers on this site.

If you sign in with Google

Signing in is optional. It exists so your list survives a lost or replaced phone.

What you write in Talk is public. Posts and comments can be read by anyone, with or without an account, and they appear under your nickname. Do not put anything there you would not want a stranger to read.

We use this only to keep your list available on your devices and to run Talk. We do not use it for advertising, we do not build profiles from it, and we do not sell or share it with anyone for their own purposes.

Who processes it, and where

Because these providers operate outside Korea, your account information may be transferred to and processed abroad. Signing in is how you consent to that; if you would rather not, do not sign in — everything else works the same.

How long we keep it

Until you delete your account. Deleting it removes your account, your nickname and the list saved to it immediately and permanently — there is no recovery, and we keep no backup copy of it. The list stored on your own device is not affected; you can clear that yourself in Settings.

Posts and comments work differently. Deleting your account removes your nickname, so anything you wrote stops being linked to you and shows as “deleted user” — but the text itself stays, because other people may have replied to it. If you want something gone, delete that post or comment first, in Talk.

A deleted post or comment disappears for everyone straight away. We keep a hidden copy so we can answer a complaint about it later; it is not shown to anyone else.
